| Malaysia & Australia 2004 My recent visit to Malaysia and Australia on behalf of ICO-Courtenay's was as enjoyable as ever. We had a great turn-out at all the events with over 140 people in total attending.
Malaysia had a very large group - hungry for information but reserved about asking questions! They have a healthy industry developing there ably supported by Eddie Koh and his group - it just seems to keep growing every time I go back. I didn't manage (remember) to take photo's of every group in Australia - this is part of the lively bunch from Queensland at the Brisbane meeting. Lots of new faces, new products and a good session (even some new ideas for a couple of soon-to-be-retirees in the group!). I can't go to Australia without some R&R. Greg Holmes of West Coast Poly organized a deep-sea fishing trip off the coast of Perth. It was a fantastic day catching Jew fish in deep water at the edge of the continental shelf. These are 9-10kg (20-22lbs) fish that tasted great back at the hotel. Roy Plank caught an 18.5kg (40lb) monster that he'll still be eating at Easter! Thanks to Greg, Roy and Alby for an excellent day out on the (relatively calm) water. |
