Autonomous Maintenance

Autonomous maintenance is a process of helping operators' knowledge of their machines and develop their ability to recognize abnormal operating conditions. They can then be taught to perform routine checks and minor maintenance tasks while freeing up maintenance personnel for predictive maintenance.

Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs are used to improve the effectiveness and longevity of machines across the entire company. It consists of a number of basic elements (pillars) that are used to track and improve the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) in an organization:

Focused Equipment and Process Improvement
Autonomous Maintenance
Planned Maintenance
Quality Maintenance
Early Equipment Management
Safety
Equipment Investment and Maintenance Prevention Design
Training and Skill Building
